Terms & Conditions — Mirchi Freshers, Campus Ambassador Contest
Entertainment Network India Limited (“ENIL”) is conducting a college-based contest/activation known as “Mirchi Freshers” (“Contest”/“Event”), across 100 (Hundred) colleges in 16 (Sixteen) cities in India (“Participating Colleges”).
By reading these Terms and Conditions (“T&C”) and/or registering for and/or participating in the Contest, you (“Participant”/“you”) irrevocably and unconditionally accept the same and undertake to be bound by all the conditions contained herein, without any kind of contestation and/or demur.
By participating in the Contest, you accept and agree to the following:
- The Contest shall be known as “Mirchi Freshers” and shall be conducted across the Participating Colleges. The Contest shall commence on 5th August, 2026 and shall tentatively conclude in September, 2026 (tentative concluding date: 30th September, 2026) (both days inclusive) (“Contest Period”). ENIL reserves the right to extend, curtail, defer or modify the Contest Period, in whole or in part, at its sole discretion.
- “Mirchi Freshers”, and all associated names, titles, logos, trademarks, formats, look and feel, and other content created by or on behalf of ENIL in connection with the Contest, are and shall remain the sole and exclusive intellectual property of ENIL.
- The Contest is open to all bona fide students of the Participating Colleges, subject to these T&C.
- Eligibility for Finalist / Mirchi Campus Ambassador Status: Notwithstanding anything contained herein, and notwithstanding that all students of a Participating College may participate in the activities under Clause 7 below and may receive votes under Clause 8 below, only those students who are in their first year of study (“Freshers”) at the relevant Participating College, as on the date of their registration, shall be eligible to be declared as finalists and/or to be selected as a “Mirchi Campus Ambassador”. This eligibility criterion shall be clearly and conspicuously displayed and communicated to all Participants on the Microsite (as defined below) prior to registration and participation, and non-Freshers participating in the Contest activities shall be deemed to have participated with full knowledge that they are not eligible for finalist/Campus Ambassador status.
- Age Eligibility: Only persons who are 18 (eighteen) years of age or above as on the date of registration shall be eligible to register for and participate in the Contest. Participants shall be required to confirm their age at the time of registration on the Microsite, in the manner set out in the consent confirmation displayed thereon.
- Registration: All Participants must register themselves on ENIL’s dedicated microsite for the Contest at www.mirchilive.events (“Microsite”), prior to participating in any of the activities/challenges under the Contest. Registration is subject to the Participant providing accurate, current and complete details as may be prescribed by ENIL from time to time, and providing explicit consent to the collection, use and sharing of their personal data in the manner set out in Clause 15 (Personal Data & DPDP Act Compliance) below and in the consent confirmation displayed on the Microsite at the time of registration.
- Format of the Contest: The Contest shall comprise the following activities, further details of which shall also be made available on the Microsite:
- Booth 1 – Photo & Reel Booth: Participants shall click photographs and create short-form video reels (“Reels”) at the designated booth at their Participating College, in the manner and format prescribed by ENIL.
- Booth 2 – Debate Competition: Participants shall compete in a live debate against another Participant, on a topic and in a format to be determined by ENIL at its sole discretion.
- Wild Card Entry: In addition to Clauses 7.1 and 7.2 above, ENIL shall, in its sole discretion, select one (1) wild card entrant from among the Reels created by Participants under Clause 7.1, for consideration towards finalist status under Clause 4 above, based on criteria determined by ENIL.
- Voting: Participants who have registered on the Microsite may cast votes in favour of other Participants who have taken part in the activities under Clause 7 above, in the manner and subject to the voting window specified on the Microsite. Multiple voting, duplicate accounts, or any other attempt to manipulate or unduly influence the voting process, may result in disqualification of the relevant Participant(s) and/or invalidation of the relevant votes, as determined by ENIL in its sole discretion.
- Selection of Finalists: Subject to Clause 4 (Eligibility for Finalist Status) above, finalists shall be selected on the basis of the maximum number of votes received by a Participant, as recorded on the Microsite, together with the wild card entrant selected under Clause 7.3 above. The decision of ENIL with respect to the selection of finalists shall be final, binding and non-contestable, and no correspondence in this regard shall be entertained.
- Mirchi Campus Ambassador: Selected finalists shall be declared “Mirchi Campus Ambassador(s)” for their respective Participating College, subject to fulfilment of all eligibility criteria and other terms set out herein. The specific privileges, opportunities and/or engagement extended to the Mirchi Campus Ambassador(s) shall be as communicated separately by ENIL, and shall, where applicable, be governed by a separate agreement to be executed with the relevant Mirchi Campus Ambassador.
- Participants have to arrange their own travel and other incidental arrangements in connection with participation in the Contest, and any expenses incurred in that regard shall be solely borne by the Participant. ENIL shall not be liable to reimburse any expenses whatsoever in this regard.
- Employees and immediate family members of ENIL, Bennett, Coleman & Company Ltd. (“BCCL”), the Participating Colleges, and the Contest’s sponsors/partners are not eligible to participate in, or be declared finalists/Mirchi Campus Ambassador under, the Contest.
- All right, title and interest, including but not limited to the Intellectual Property Rights, in the Reels, photographs, debate content, and any other entries/content created or submitted by Participants in connection with the Contest, shall vest solely and exclusively with ENIL at all times. ENIL, or any person or entity authorised by ENIL, shall be entitled to use such content/entries, or any information in connection therewith, in any media, for future promotional, marketing, publicity or any other purpose, without any further permission from, or payment to, the Participant.
- ENIL reserves the right to change, defer, alter or cancel the Contest, in part or in full, or change any or all of the terms and conditions applicable, without giving prior intimation/notice of any kind, and shall not be liable for any consequential losses/damages arising therefrom. The decision of ENIL in this regard, and in general with respect to the Contest and these T&C, shall be final, binding and non-contestable.
- Personal Data & DPDP Act Compliance:
- In connection with the Contest, ENIL shall collect certain personal data of Participants at the time of registration on the Microsite and during their participation in the Contest activities, including but not limited to name, age, gender, contact number, email address, college name and other academic/eligibility details, photographs, videos/Reels, and voting activity (“Personal Data”).
- ENIL shall collect, store, use, process and share the Personal Data strictly in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”) and other applicable data protection laws in India, and only for the following purposes: (a) conducting and administering the Contest; (b) verifying Participants’ eligibility (including age and Fresher status under Clauses 4 and 5 above); (c) contacting Participants/finalists in relation to the Contest; and (d) such other purposes as may be disclosed to, and consented to by, the Participant at the time of registration on the Microsite.
- Participants expressly acknowledge and consent that their Personal Data, collected through the Microsite, may be shared by ENIL with the Contest’s sponsors, including OPPO and Croma (“Sponsor(s)”), strictly for the purpose of enabling such Sponsor(s) to send promotional and marketing communications to Participants, including via WhatsApp, after the conclusion of the Contest/Event.
- Participants may exercise their rights under the DPDP Act, including the right to access, correct, update or request erasure of their Personal Data, and the right to withdraw consent at any time, by writing to Mirchi. Withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of any processing of Personal Data carried out prior to such withdrawal, and may result in the Participant being unable to continue participating in, or being disqualified from, the Contest.
- By registering on the Microsite, Participants provide their free, specific, informed, unconditional and unambiguous consent to the collection, use, storage and sharing of their Personal Data as set out in this Clause 15 and in the consent confirmation displayed on the Microsite at the time of registration, which consent confirmation shall form an integral part of these T&C.
- ENIL is not responsible for any errors or omissions in these T&C. All information provided in connection with the Contest is provided on an “as is” basis, without warranty of any kind, and ENIL makes no representations and disclaims all express, implied and statutory warranties of any kind to Participants and/or any third party, including without limitation, warranties as to accuracy, timeliness, completeness, merchantability, or fitness for any particular purpose.
- Under no circumstances shall ENIL and/or its directors, employees, officers, affiliates or subsidiaries be liable to any Participant and/or any third party for any lost profits or lost opportunity, or for any indirect, special, consequential, incidental or punitive damages whatsoever, even if ENIL has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Each Participant specifically agrees not to file, in person or through any family member and/or third party, any application, criminal and/or civil proceeding in any court or forum in India against ENIL and/or its directors, employees, officers, affiliates or subsidiaries to claim any damages or relief in connection with the Contest, and shall hold harmless ENIL, its affiliates, group companies, and their respective employees, officers and directors from any claim/liability/loss (including legal fees) arising out of or in relation to any injury/damage/harm/loss/death/mental or emotional trauma suffered by the Participant in connection with the Contest.
- ENIL shall not be liable to perform any of its obligations in respect of the Contest where it is unable to do so as a result of unforeseen circumstances or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
- Each Participant waives their right to file, in person and/or through any family member and/or third party, any application, criminal and/or civil proceeding in any court or forum in India against ENIL and/or any party related to the Contest, to claim any damages or reliefs whatsoever.
- ENIL excludes all liability whatsoever for any costs, expenses, damages, liability, injury or disappointment suffered by a Participant arising out of or in any way connected with the Contest.
- Selected finalists/Mirchi Campus Ambassador(s) may be required to sign an “indemnity and release of claims” form and/or a separate engagement agreement provided by ENIL, which shall, inter alia, release ENIL of liability in connection with the Contest. Failure to complete and sign any such documents requested by ENIL may result in disqualification of the relevant finalist and selection of an alternate finalist. All decisions of ENIL in this regard are final.
- ENIL is empowered to take a decision on any case or circumstance not expressly covered under these T&C, and such decision shall be final, binding and non-contestable.
- By participating, all Participants grant ENIL permission to use their names, photographs, Reels, voice, video and likeness in connection with the promotion of this and other contests/events, and waive any claim to royalty, right or remuneration for such use, without prejudice to the data protection rights set out in Clause 15 above.
- These T&C, and the Contest, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the applicable laws of India. All matters with respect to the Contest are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Mumbai only. The Contest is void where prohibited by law.
- A copy of these T&C shall be made available on the Microsite at www.mirchilive.events/terms.
